What SnapSign is
SnapSign is a mobile app and web platform for creating, signing, storing, and sharing Contracts for photo and video shoots. It is used by photographers, videographers, creators, models, agencies, content creators, production teams, and event organizers.
SnapSign is built around a structured signing workflow rather than a blank page. A shoot is described once as a reusable Template, filled in as a Contract, signed by every participant, and then exported as a signed PDF with a Certificate for record keeping.
The product name is written SnapSign. The product calls a signed agreement a Contract, not a document.
How SnapSign works
- Start from a Template. A Template defines the Contract text and the participant information that must be completed. Users choose a built-in Default Template or create a Custom Template.
- Create a Contract. The user fills in the shoot details and participant information. A Contract can be saved as a Draft while it is still being edited.
- Start signing. When signing begins, SnapSign locks the main Contract details so the signed PDF matches the information that was reviewed.
- Collect signatures. Participants sign directly in the app, or through a Signature Request email when they are not physically present, need to complete their own information, or should sign from their own device.
- Finish and export. When every required signature is complete, SnapSign generates a signed PDF. Users can export or share the PDF, export JPG page images, download a Certificate, and verify a Contract PDF in the app or on the website.
Public Release Flow. A release can also be started in a browser without an account. At app.snapsign-app.com/release/new a visitor picks a supported release Template, completes it, and previews the PDF. An account is only needed to sign the release and save it in SnapSign.
SnapSign also supports repeated work: Model Profiles save model details for reuse, Templates remove repeated setup, and Group Events collect contracts from many participants through rosters, Invitation Links, and QR codes.

Key facts and limits
- Signature Request links expire after 48 hours if the Contract has not been signed yet.
- After a signature is completed through the link, the same link stays available for 30 minutes so the signer can view the signed Contract. This applies to individual Contracts and to Group Event roster Signature Requests.
- Signing individual Contracts uses a lifetime allowance before a subscription is required.
- Group Events require Premium after three free trial events.
- Contract details are locked once signing starts, so the signed PDF matches the reviewed information.
- Templates can collect 18 U.S. Code § 2257 participant information, such as ID and performer details.
- Participants can sign in the app, or remotely through a Signature Request. Remote signers complete their own details in the browser and do not install anything.
- SnapSign organizes the signing workflow, but users should always review Contract details carefully before signing or sending a Signature Request.
